Today, I want to address some common questions and concerns that many expecting and new parents have about birth photography and doula services. It's completely normal to have questions—after all, this is a big moment in your life, and you want everything to go smoothly.
What if I Don't Want Graphic Photos?
This is one of the most frequent questions I get, and it's a very valid concern. Not everyone wants graphic images of their birth experience, and that's totally okay. My goal is to capture the beauty and emotion of the moment without focusing on the graphic details. We'll discuss your preferences ahead of time, so I'm clear on what you do and don't want to be photographed. Whether it’s the first time you hold your baby, a look of joy on your partner’s face, or those tiny newborn details, I focus on what matters most to you.
What Happens If Things Don’t Go as Planned?
Birth can be unpredictable, and sometimes things don't go according to plan. If you need to have a cesarean birth, I'll be there to support you through that process as well. We'll adapt and make sure to capture those first precious moments with your baby, no matter how they arrive. Having a backup plan and being flexible is part of my approach, ensuring that you feel supported and confident regardless of how your birth unfolds.
How Far Will You Travel?
I often get asked about travel limits. I typically cover [your location and surrounding areas], but I'm open to traveling further for a small additional fee. It's best to discuss your location during our consultation, and we'll figure out the logistics together.
