Celebrating Your Unique

Birth and Parenthood Journey

Hi, and welcome to Wild Womb Photography! I’m Ash, a photographer and doula based in Traverse City, Michigan. Birth is one of those incredible moments that flies by in a blur, and having photos to look back on can mean so much. From the strength and determination during labor to the quiet, sweet moments with your baby, I’m here to capture it all just as it happens—real, honest, and full of emotion. These photos are more than just pictures; they’re a way to hold onto the memories and feelings of one of the most amazing days of your life.
“Ash not only gave us incredible memories to hold on to about the arrival of our daughter, but was so dedicated and helpful during the labor process! She was clearly educated about birth, bringing a clip fan and peppermint oil and busting them out when I felt nauseous. She also stayed the entire night and into the next day when my birth went much longer than anticipated. Ash really listened to the moments that were important for me to remember; my fiancé catching the baby, a picture of the placenta and all the little details. All of these memories and more were documented so beautifully, leaving me and my partner to focus on the birthing process and treasuring our daughter, knowing someone else was making sure to document. Lastly, with many people from our healthcare providers to our doula packed into a small hospital room, Ash somehow captured all the important moments without ever having to adjust lighting or get in the way, and all our shots were tasteful and true. I feel like a warrior woman looking back on what it took to bring our daughter into the world, and I can’t wait to share these photos with her someday!”

Empowered and Prepared!

Personalized Doula Support

I’m here to support you through pregnancy, birth, and those first weeks of parenthood. We’ll work together to help you feel prepared and confident, from answering your questions to being by your side during labor—at home or in the hospital. I’ll share resources and information so you can make choices that feel right, and together we’ll create a birth plan that’s all about what matters most to you. If you have a support person, we’ll make sure they feel ready and comfortable to be part of your team. You’ve got this, and I’m here to help every step of the way.

Ash was an absolute blessing as both a doula and Fresh 48 photographer! From the start, she provided unwavering support, making us feel calm and empowered throughout the entire process. She was very accessible and responsive. Although we didn’t get to use her doula services at birth due to my late-diagnosed medical condition, we did reference her lovely handouts when creating a birth plan, and she assisted in connecting us with community resources and products post partum. She also helped fit me for pumping and just provided an overall warm presence during a vulnerable time!

As a photographer, Ash captured the most intimate and precious moments the day after baby’s arrival with such grace. The photos are breathtaking and truly reflect the raw beauty of those early moments with our new family when big sis met little sis! If you’re looking for someone who combines professionalism with heart, Ash is exceptional in both roles. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
